“Presenting a stunning array of styles, technique and mediums, the group exhibition Creature Mythologies boasts international artists as well as Montreal’s finest. With thematics ranging from fairy-tale transient beings to narrations of humanity and the use of animals in our society, Creature Mythologies explores a surreality of the animate and inanimate, of the sacred, the supernatural and the organic.

Marrying the imagination and reality, Nostracasa’s premiere exhibit embraces painting, drawing mediums, prints, photography and sculpture. Come and enjoy a mystical night with us and beings unseen.”

Amongst the artists is Dubai-based artist Jalal Abuthina, his piece is the first one on top title “Bastet”, 20x30 inches photograph. Find out more about him here: http://www.aldunya.info

This spring, students from Concordia University’s MFA in Studio Arts program present an ambitious exhibition featuring works by more than 50 artists. In hommage to the site’s former function, first- and second-year students will take over the entire ancienne École des beaux-arts. Representing all areas within the program, these artists will present new works in installation, performance, printmaking, photography, video, film, painting, drawing and fibres, many of which respond to the conditions of this unique site.

Riusuke Fukahori, from the “Goldfish Salvation” series. Would you believe that’s painted? It’s painted. On layers of resin. Unbelievable.
